The pelvic floor is the set of muscles found in the lower abdomen and pelvis. These are responsible for supporting the organs of this region and maintaining a balance with the other structures. Dysfunction of these muscles can lead to symptoms such as
- Low back and pelvic pain
- Urinary, fecal, or gas incontinence
- Pelvic organ prolapse *
- Sexual dysfunctions
* Lowering or falling of an internal organ due to the relaxation or distension of its fixation means.

Treatment consists of becoming aware of the anatomical region involved, analyze and correct body posture and normalize muscle tone of the pelvic floor and abdominal and lumbar muscles. For this, intra and extra cavitary manual therapy, myofascial techniques, massage, stretching, reprogramming of the muscles and postural hygiene will be applied.
The good diagnosis of physiotherapy, a correct approach to the dysfunction and the constancy of the patient, the results will certainly be effective and rewarding.
